പന്ത്രണ്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഒരു സുന്നീ[1]-സൂഫീ പണ്ഡിതനായിരുന്നു അബു അൽ നജീബ് അബ്ദുൽ ഖാദിർ സുഹ്രവർദി ( പേർഷ്യൻ: ابوالنجیب عبدالقادر سهروردی). പേർഷ്യയിലെ (ഇന്നത്തെ ഇറാനിലെ) സുഹ്രവർദ് പ്രദേശത്തായിരുന്നു ജനനം[2][3]. ബാഗ്ദാദിൽ ഇസ്‌ലാമിക നിയമം അഭ്യസിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം ടൈഗ്രീസ് നദിക്കരയിൽ ഒരു ആശ്രമം സ്ഥാപിച്ച് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടൊത്ത് താമസിച്ചു വന്നു. സുഹ്രവർദിയ എന്ന സൂഫീ സരണി ഇദ്ദേഹം സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാണ്.
