അംറ് ഇബിനുൽ ആസ്

പ്രവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദ് നബിയുടെ കാലത്ത് ജീവിച്ച സ്വഹാബിയും അറബ് സൈനിക കമാൻററുമായിരുന്നു ‘അംറ് ഇബിനുൽ ആസ് (അറബി: عمرو بن العاص‬; c. 585 – ജനുവരി 6, 664)എഡി 640 ൽ ഈജിപ്ത് കീഴടക്കിയ സൈനിക നേതാവായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.എഡി 629 ൽ( ഹിജ്റ എട്ടാം വർഷം) അദ്ദേഹം ഇസ്ലാമിലേക്ക് മതപരിവർത്തനം നടത്തി. ഈജിപ്തിൻറെ തലസ്ഥാനമായി ഫുസാത്ത് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് ഇദ്ദേഹമായിരുന്നു. അംറിബിനുൽ ആസ് എന്ന പേരിൽ ഇവിടെ പള്ളി സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ആദ്യ കാലം

 ബനു സഹ്ം ത്രത്തിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്.ഖുറൈശ് ഗോത്രത്തിൻറെ ഒരു ഉപവിഭാഗമാണിത്. 80 വർഷത്തോളമാണ് ജീവിച്ചത്. 592 ന് മുമ്പാണ് ജനിച്ചതെന്ന് കരുതുന്നു.മക്കയിൽ ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം ഈജിപ്തിൽവെച്ചാണ് മരണപ്പെട്ടത്. അൽ-അസ് ഇബിൻ വാഇൽ എന്നവരായിരുന്നു പിതാവ്.അംറ് ഒരു കച്ചവടക്കാരനായിരുന്നു.ഏഷ്യയിലേക്കും മിഡിൽ ഈസ്റ്റിലേക്കും സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്ന കച്ചവട സംഘത്തിലെ അംഗമായിരുന്നു അംറ്.

അബൂബക്കറിൻറെയും ഉമറിൻറെയും കാലത്ത്

പ്രവാചകൻ മുഹമ്മദിൻറെ വിടവാങ്ങലിൻറെ ശേഷം ഖലീഫയായ അബൂബക്കർ, അംറിനെ ഫലസ്തീനിലേക്ക് അയച്ചു.ഈ മേഖലയിലെ ഇസ്ലാമിക വ്യാപനത്തിൽ ഏറെ പങ്കുവഹിച്ച വ്യക്തിമായിരുന്നു അംറ് ഇബിനുൽ ആസ്. അരനദൈൻ,യർമൂക്ക്,ദമസ്കസ് യുദ്ധങ്ങളിടെ അംറ് പ്രശസ്തനായി. സിറിയയിലെ ബൈസൻറൈനെതിരെ നേടിയ വിജയത്തിന് ശേഷം അംറിനെ രണ്ടാം ഖലീഫയായ ഉമർ ഈജിപ്തിലേക്കും അയച്ചു.
