(Pravasi Bharatiya Divas എന്ന താളിൽ നിന്നും തിരിച്ചുവിട്ടതു പ്രകാരം)
എല്ലാ വർഷവും ജനുവരി-9 ന് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പ്രവാസി ദിനം ആചരിക്കുന്നു[1][2]. ഇൻഡ്യയ്ക്കു പുറത്തു മറ്റ് രാജ്യത്തു താമസിക്കുന്ന ഇൻഡ്യക്കാരെ പ്രവാസികൾ എന്നു പറയുന്നു, കൂടുതൽ പ്രവാസികളും ഗൾഫ് രാജ്യങ്ങൾ അമേരിക്ക, ബ്രിട്ട ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ, മലേഷ്യ, സിങ്കപ്പൂർ തുടങ്ങിയ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു.
