നൊവെന (ലത്തീൻ ഭാഷയിൽ: novem, "ഒമ്പത്") എന്നത് ക്രിസ്തുമതത്തിലെ പുരാതന പാരമ്പര്യത്തിലുള്ള ഭക്തിയോടെയുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥനയാണ്.[1][2]ഒൻപത് ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആഴ്ചയിൽ ആവർത്തിച്ചുള്ള സ്വകാര്യമായ പൊതു പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ ഇതിൽ കാണുന്നു.[3][4]ഒരു നൊവെന സമയത്ത്, ഭക്തർ അപേക്ഷകൾ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു, അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ആരാധിക്കുക വഴി അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ പ്രാപിക്കുക, കന്യാമറിയം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരോടുപ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുക എന്നിവയെല്ലാം ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. വ്യക്തികൾ ഒരു പ്രതിമ പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്ത് ആ വ്യക്തിക്കു മുമ്പിൽ മുട്ടുകുത്തി, മെഴുകുതിരികൾ കത്തിക്കുകയോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പൂക്കൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയോ വഴി സ്നേഹവും ആദരവും പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു[5].[6]
