മഗ്നോലിയേസി കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു പൂച്ചെടിയാണ് മഗ്നോളിയ കൊക്കോ. തെക്കൻ ചൈന, തായ്‌വാൻ, വടക്കൻ വിയറ്റ്നാം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പൂന്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വളരുന്ന 7-13 അടി (2-4 മീറ്റർ) ഉയരമുള്ള ഈ ചെറിയ വൃക്ഷം, [1]ഹാർഡിനെസ് സോൺ 9 ൽ വളരുന്നതാണ്. കൂടാതെ ഈ ചെറിയ വൃക്ഷംവീട്ടിനരികിലും വളർത്താം. ചില സ്രോതസ്സുകളിൽ ഇതിനെ തെറ്റായി Magnolia pumila എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു.[2]
