ഖാസി ഭാഷ

മേഘാലയിലെ ഖാസി വിഭാഗത്തിലെ ആദിവാസികൾ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഓസ്‌ട്രോേഷ്യറ്റിക് ഭാഷയാണ് ഖാസിഭാഷ. അസമിലും ബംഗ്ലാദേശിലും വലിയൊരു ജനവിഭാഗവും ഇത് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. ഖാസി ഓസ്‌ട്രോഏഷ്യാറ്റിക് ഭാഷാ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ്. കൂടാതെ തെക്കുകിഴക്കൻ ഏഷ്യയിലെ ഖമർ, പാലൂങ്, വിയറ്റ്നാമീസ്, മോൺ ഭാഷകളുമായും യഥാക്രമം കിഴക്കൻ-മധ്യ ഇന്ത്യയിലും നിക്കോബാർ ദ്വീപുകളിലും സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ആ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ മുണ്ട, നിക്കോബാരീസ് ശാഖകളുമായും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
