കോമ്പോസിറ്റെ കടുംബത്തിലെ എലിഫന്റോപസ് ജനുസ്സിലെ എലിഫന്റോപ്പസ് എലാറ്റസ് സസ്യത്തിൽ നിന്നും വേർതിരിച്ചെടുത്ത പ്രകൃതിദത്ത രാസ സംയുക്തമാണ് എലിഫന്റോപിൻ. രണ്ട് ലാക്റ്റോൺ വളയങ്ങളും ഒരു എപ്പോക്സൈഡ് ഫംഗ്ഷണൽ ഗ്രൂപ്പും അടങ്ങിയ ജെർമാക്രനോലൈഡ് അസ്ഥികൂടമുള്ള സെസ്ക്വിറ്റെർപീൻ ലാക്ടോൺ ആണ് ഇത്.[1]
