സെന്റ് ജോൺസ് കനേഡിയൻ പ്രവിശ്യയായ ന്യൂഫൗണ്ട്ലാൻഡ് ആൻറ് ലാബ്രഡോറിൻറെ തലസ്ഥാനവും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ നഗരവുമാണ്. ന്യൂഫൗണ്ട്ലാൻഡ് ദ്വീപിലെ അവലോൺ ഉപദ്വീപിൻറെ കിഴക്കേയറ്റത്താണ് നഗരം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. 446.04 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ (172.22 ചതുരശ്ര മൈൽ) പ്രദേശത്തായി വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന ഈ നഗരം വടക്കേ അമേരിക്കയുടെ ഏറ്റവും കിഴക്കേ അറ്റത്തുള്ള നഗരമാണ് (ഗ്രീൻലാൻഡ് ഒഴികെ).[9][10][11][12]
