സുന്യാനി
സുന്യാനി, ഘാനയിലെ സുന്യാനി മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയിലെ ബ്രോങ്-ആഹാഫോ മേഖലയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമായ നഗരമാണ്. 2010 ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ഈ നഗരത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 248,496 ആയിരുന്നു.[2][3]

സുന്യാനി, വനപ്രദേശമായ തെക്കൻ അശാന്തി മലനിരകളാൽ വലയം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. പത്തൊമ്പതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ആനവേട്ടക്കാരുടെ ഒരു ഔട്ട്പോസ്റ്റ് ക്യാമ്പായാണ് ഈ നഗരം ഉദയം ചെയ്തത്. ഒസോനോ എന്ന ആനയെക്കുറിക്കുന്ന അക്കാൻ പദത്തിൽനിന്നാണ് നഗരത്തിനു് ഈ പേരു ലഭിച്ചത്.[4]
