തിരുത്തുകഒസെയ് ജനിച്ചത് ഘാനയിലാണ്. എന്നാൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ നയതന്ത്രജ്ഞയായ അമ്മയുടെ അധിനിവേശം കാരണം അവർക്ക് ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്ക, യുഎസ്എ, ഇന്ത്യ എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു. ഘാനയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയ അവർ SOS-ൽ പഠിക്കുകയും ഘാന സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് കലയിൽ ബിരുദം നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവർ ഘാന ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് ആൻഡ് പബ്ലിക് അഡ്മിനിസ്‌ട്രേഷനിൽ (GIMPA) നിയമപഠനം നടത്തി.[4]
