വെരാ സ്കാന്റിൽബറി ബ്രൗൺ
ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയയിലെ വിക്ടോറിയയിലെ ഒരു ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയൻ മെഡിക്കൽ പ്രാക്‌ടീഷണറും ശിശുരോഗ വിദഗ്ധനുമായിരുന്നു വെരാ സ്കാന്റിൽബറി ബ്രൗൺ OBE (7 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 1889 - 14 ജൂലൈ 1946).
ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും തിരുത്തുക
1889 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 7 ന് വിക്ടോറിയയിലെ ലിന്റണിലാണ് വെരാ സ്കാന്റിൽബറി ജനിച്ചത്. അവരുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ജോർജ്ജ് ജെയിംസും കാതറിൻ മില്ലിംഗ്ടണും (നീ ബെയ്ൻസ്) സ്കാന്റിൽബറി ആയിരുന്നു. മെൽബൺ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയിലെ മെഡിക്കൽ സ്‌കൂളിൽ ചേരുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് അവർ ടൂറക് കോളേജിലായിരുന്നു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം.[1] അവർ 1914-ൽ ബാച്ചിലർ ഓഫ് മെഡിസിൻ (MB) ബിരുദം നേടി.

ശിശുക്ഷേമ, മാതൃക്ഷേമ മേഖലകളിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിന് 1938 ജൂൺ 9-ന് ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് ദി ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് എംപയറിന്റെ ഓഫീസറായി നിയമിതയായി ബ്രൗണിനെ ആദരിച്ചു.[2]
