വില്യം-അഡോൾഫ് ബോഗുറേ

ഫ്രഞ്ചുകാരനായ ഒരു ചിത്രകാരനായിരുന്നു വില്യം-അഡോൾഫ് ബോഗുറേ (William-Adolphe Bouguereau) (French pronunciation: ​[wijam.adɔlf buɡ(ə)ʁo]; 30 നവംബർ 1825 – 19 ആഗസ്ത് 1905). തന്റെ റിയലിസ്റ്റിക് ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ പുരാണരംഗങ്ങൾ ചിത്രീകരിക്കുകവഴി അദ്ദേഹം ക്ലാസിക് രംഗങ്ങൾക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് സ്ത്രീശരീരചിത്രീകരണങ്ങൾക്ക് നവീനഅർത്ഥങ്ങൾ പകർന്നുനൽകി.[1] തന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്ത് ഫ്രാൻസിലും അമേരിക്കയിലും പ്രസിദ്ധനായിരുന്ന ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കുകയും ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉയർന്ന വില ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.[2] മാറുന്ന അഭിരുചികളാൽ ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ ആദ്യമാകുമ്പോഴേക്കും ബോഗുറേയ്ക്കും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ രചനകൾക്കും സ്വീകാര്യത കുറഞ്ഞുവന്നു.[2] എന്നാൽ 1980 കളിൽ ശരീര രൂപചിത്രീകരണങ്ങൾക്ക് പൊതുവെ ഉണ്ടായ ജനപ്രീതി ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെയും ജനപ്രീതി വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു.[2] തന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്ത് പൂർണമായ 822 രചനകൾ നടത്തിയ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ പലതിനേക്കുറിച്ചുമുള്ള വിവരങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോഴും അജ്ഞാതമാണ്..[3]
