Some thoughts

മലയാളം വിക്കിപീഡിയയിൽ ഇത്രയധികം അഡ്മിൻസിന്റ്റെ ആവശ്യമുണ്ടോ? ആകെപ്പാടെ ഒരു ഹാൻഡ്ഫുൾ കോണ്ട്രിബ്യൂട്ടേഴ്സ് അല്ലേയുള്ളൂ. ഇപ്പോൾതന്നെ അഞ്ചോളം അഡ്മിൻണ്ടെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. അതിൽ ഇനാക്റ്റീവ് ആയ അഡ്മിൻസിനെ ഒഴിവാക്ക്യിട്ടു പോരേ പുതിയവരെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കൽ? (ബിജി എന്ന അഡ്മിൻ അഡ്മിനായതില്പിന്നെ ഇവിടേയ്ക്ക് വന്നിട്ടേയില്ല :) ) മൂന്നുമാസത്തെ പരിചയം എന്നതും തീരെകുറവാണെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. ആറുമാസമെങ്കിലും തുടർച്ചയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ മാത്രമേ ഈ സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് പരിഗണിക്കാവൂ. കൺസിസ്റ്റൻസിയാണല്ലോ പ്രധാനം. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഉൾപ്പടെ മറ്റു വിക്കികളിലെല്ലാം മൂന്നുമാസത്തെ പരിചയമാണ് നിഷ്കർഷിക്കാറ്‌. ആറുമാസം ആകണമെന്നതിൽ ഇതര ഉപയോക്താക്കളുടെയും അഭിപ്രായം ആരായേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. താങ്കൾ ഉന്നയിച്ച ഇതര കാര്യങ്ങളും പൊതുവായി ചർച്ച ചെയ്തു തീരുമാനത്തിലെത്താം. നന്ദി.:‌-Manjithkaini 06:54, 2 നവംബർ 2006 (UTC)

I agree that we have enough admins, and every admin except bijee is very active and responsive. What we need now is more and more active users, not admins.

Lets keep the time limit to be an admin at three months anywayz. English wiki is a much bigger organization, and the rules would have evolved over much thought and discussion. Lets trust the collective concience of millions :-)

In english wiki, inactivity is not a reason for removal. The point being, whats the harm in keeping an inactive admin as admin. He's not hurting anyone. We can form our own rules, we dont have to follow English wiki ofcourse (Sorry, I am confused on this now, so just expressing my thoughts)
