റൂത്ത്വെൻ ബിക്കർട്ടൺ
സിഡ്‌നി സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ഒരു വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്ര പ്രൊഫസറായിരുന്നു ലെഫ്റ്റനന്റ്-കേണൽ ചാൾസ് റൂത്ത്വെൻ ബിക്കർട്ടൺ ബ്ലാക്ക്ബേൺ എസി (ജീവിതകാലം: 7 മെയ് 1913 - 12 ഏപ്രിൽ 2016).[1][2][3] അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പിതാവ് ലെഫ്റ്റനന്റ് കേണൽ സർ ചാൾസ് ബിക്കർട്ടൺ ബ്ലാക്ക്ബേൺ KCMG, OBE (22 ഏപ്രിൽ 1874 - 20 ജൂലൈ 1972), ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ചാൻസലറും ഫിസിഷ്യനുമായിരുന്നു.[4]

രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധസമയത്ത് റൂത്ത്വെൻ ലാൻഡ് ഹെഡ്ക്വാർട്ടേഴ്‌സ് മെഡിക്കൽ റിസർച്ച് യൂണിറ്റിന്റെ (LHQ, 1MRU), ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ ആർമി മെഡിക്കൽ കോർപ്‌സിന്റെ (AAMC) കമാൻഡിംഗും സീനിയർ ഫിസിഷ്യനുമായിരുന്നു.[1]
1940-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം നെല്ലിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. (എലീനർ ഫ്രീമാൻ 1916–1967.) അവർക്ക് സൂസൻ ആൻ, സാന്ദ്ര എന്നീ രണ്ട് പെൺമക്കളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.[5]
1968-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം സഹപ്രവർത്തകയും പ്രശസ്ത ആസ്ത്മ ഗവേഷകയുമായ പ്രൊഫസർ ആൻ വൂൾകോക്ക് AO FAA FRACP (1937-2001) വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. ഈ ദമ്പതികൾ സൈമൺ, ആംഗസ് എന്നീ രണ്ട് ആൺമക്കളെ വളർത്തിയിരുന്നു.[1][6]
2016 ഏപ്രിൽ 12-ന് തന്റെ 103-ാം ജന്മദിനത്തിന് തൊട്ടുമുമ്പ് അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.[7]
