മെഗ് റയാൻ (ജനനം : മാർഗരറ്റ് മേരി എമിലി ആനി ഹൈറ എന്ന പേരിൽ; 1961, നവംബർ 19)[1] ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ നടിയും സംവിധായികയും നിർമ്മാതാവുമാണ്. 1982 ൽ ‘ആസ് ദ വേൾഡ് ടേൺസ്’ എന്ന CBS സോപ്പ് ഓപ്പറയിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുന്നതിനു മുൻപ് 1981 ൽ ചെറുവേഷങ്ങളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടാണ് അഭിനയരംഗത്ത് തുടക്കം കുറിക്കുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് 1980-കളുടെ മധ്യത്തോടെ ഏതാനും സിനിമകളിൽ സഹനടിയുടെ വേഷങ്ങളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാൻ തുടങ്ങുകയും റോബ് റെയ്നർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത വെൻ ഹാരി മെറ്റ് സാലി (1989) എന്ന റൊമാന്റിക് കോമഡി ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ വ്യാപകമായ ശ്രദ്ധയും ആദ്യ ഗോൾഡൻ ഗ്ലോബ് നാമനിർദ്ദേശവും നേടിയെടുക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് ‘പ്രോമിസ്ഡ് ലാന്റ്’ (1988) പോലെയുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്ര സിനിമകളിലൂടെ പ്രേക്ഷകരുടെ അംഗീകാരം നേടിയെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
