മായ സിങ് സൈനി
പഞ്ചാബിലെ അമൃത്‌സർ ജില്ലയിലുള്ള നൗഷഹാറയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യസമര സേനാനിയാണ് മായ സിങ് സൈനി.[1][2][3][4] 1848 നവംബർ 22 ന് രണ്ടാം ആംഗ്ലോ-സിങ് യുദ്ധകാലത്ത് രാംനഗറിലെ പോരാട്ടത്തിൽ മായാ സിങ് ഒരു അശ്വാരൂഢ സൈനി ആയിരുന്നു. രാംനഗറിലെ യുദ്ധം അപ്രസക്തമാണെങ്കിലും സിങ് കുതിരപ്പടയുടെ ആക്രമണം ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർക്ക് വലിയ നാശനഷ്ടം വരുത്തി. മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് ഇത് വലിയ ആത്മവിശ്വാസം പകരുന്നതായിരുന്നു.
