മനിറ്റോബ

മനിറ്റോബ കാനഡയുടെ രേഖാംശകേന്ദ്രമായ ഒരു പ്രവിശ്യയാണ്.  മിക്കപ്പോഴും കാനഡയിലെ മൂന്ന് പ്രയറി പ്രവിശ്യകളിലൊന്നായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്ന മാനിറ്റോബയിലെ (മറ്റു രണ്ടെണ്ണം;  അൽബെർട്ട, സസ്കത്ചെവാൻ എന്നിവ) ജനസംഖ്യ 1.3 ദശലക്ഷമായി കണക്കാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് കാനഡയിലെ അഞ്ചാമത്തെ ഏറ്റവും ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യയാണ് . വിശാലവും വൈവിധ്യമാർന്നതുമായ ഭൂപ്രകൃതിയോടെ വടക്കൻ സമുദ്രതീരത്തുനിന്നു തുടങ്ങി അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളുടെ തെക്കൻ അതിർത്തിയിലേയ്ക്കുവരെയായി ഏകദേശം 649,950 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ (250,900 ചതുരശ്ര മൈൽ) വിസ്തൃതിയിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്നതാണ് മനിറ്റോബ പ്രവിശ്യ. കിഴക്ക് ഭാഗത്ത് ഒണ്ടാറിയോ പ്രവിശ്യയും പടിഞ്ഞാറു ഭാഗത്ത് സസ്കാത്ചുവാൻ പ്രവിശ്യയും വടക്ക് നുനാവട്ട് പ്രദേശങ്ങളും വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ വശത്ത് വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഭൂപ്രദേശങ്ങളും തെക്കുഭാഗത്ത് അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ വടക്കൻ ഡക്കോട്ട, മിന്നസോട്ട എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുമാണ് ഈ പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ അതിരുകൾ.
