ഒരു സോവിയറ്റ് ഉക്രേനിയൻ ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി ഫിലിം മേക്കറും കിയെവ് സ്കൂൾ ഓഫ് സയന്റിഫിക് സിനിമയുടെ സ്ഥാപകനും നേതാവുമാണ് ഫെലിക്സ് മിഖൈലോവിച്ച് സോബോലെവ് (1931-1984). ഉക്കൈനിയൻ എസ്എസ്ആറിന്റെ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട ആർട്ടിസ്റ്റ്, സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയന്റെ അക്കാദമി ഓഫ് സയൻസസിന്റെ എംവി ലോമോനോസോവ് സമ്മാനം, യുഎസ്എസ്ആർ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് പ്രൈസ് എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ നിരവധി ബഹുമതികൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചു.

1931 ജൂലൈ 25 ന് ഉക്രെയ്നിലെ എസ്എസ്ആറിലെ ഖാർകിവിൽ ഒരു തൊഴിലാളിയുടെ മകനായി ഫെലിക്സ് സോബോലെവ് ജനിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം കൈവ് നാഷണൽ I. K. കാർപെൻകോ-കാരി തിയേറ്റർ, സിനിമ ആൻഡ് ടെലിവിഷൻ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ അംഗമായി ചേർന്നു. 1953-ൽ അഭിനയത്തിലും 1959-ൽ സംവിധാനത്തിലും ബിരുദം നേടി.[1]
1959-ൽ, സോബോലെവ് കീവിലെ ഒരു സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഫിലിം സ്റ്റുഡിയോയായ കീവ്നൗച്ച്ഫിലിമിൽ (അതായത്, പോപ്പുലർ സയൻസ് ഫിലിംസിന്റെ കൈവ് ഫിലിം സ്റ്റുഡിയോ) പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. 1973-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ആൽമ മേറ്ററിലെ സയന്റിഫിക് സിനിമയുടെ സ്റ്റുഡിയോയുടെ കലാസംവിധായകനായി.[1]
1956 മുതൽ സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയന്റെ സിനിമാട്ടോഗ്രാഫർമാരുടെ യൂണിയനിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു.[1]
സോബോലെവ് 1984 ഏപ്രിൽ 20-ന് [1] കൈവിൽ വച്ച് അന്തരിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ബെർകിവ്‌സി സിറ്റി സെമിത്തേരിയിൽ സംസ്‌കരിച്ചു[2]

17 ഫ്രാങ്കാ സ്ട്രീറ്റിൽ ഒരു സ്മാരക ഫലകത്തോടുകൂടിയാണ് കീവിലെ എഫ്. സോബോലെവ് സ്ട്രീറ്റ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനായി നാമകരണം ചെയ്തത്. കൈവിലെ 19 ചെർവോനോട്ട്‌കാറ്റ്‌സ്‌ക സ്‌ട്രീറ്റിലെ [യുകെ] മറ്റൊരു സ്മാരക ശിലാഫലകം പ്രസ്‌താവിക്കുന്നു: 1964-1981 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഉക്രേനിയൻ, ലോക സിനിമയിലെ പ്രതിഭകളിൽ ഒരാളായ ഫെലിക്സ് സോബോലെവ് (1931-1984) ഇവിടെ താമസിക്കുകയും ജോലി ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. കിയെവ്‌നൗച്ച്ഫിലിം ചാരിറ്റബിൾ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന് സോബോലേവിന്റെ പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.[4] 1981-ൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ഛിന്നഗ്രഹം 5940 ഫെലിക്‌സോബോലെവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.[6][7]
