പോർട്ടോള വാലി, അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിൽ കാലിഫോർണിയയിലെ സാൻ മറ്റെയോ കൗണ്ടിയിൽപ്പെടുന്നതും 1964ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായതുമായ ഒരു ഏകീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമായ പട്ടണമാണ്. 4,000-ൽ കൂടുതൽ ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റികളിലെ ആളുകളുടെ പ്രതിശീർഷ വരുമാനത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഏറ്റവും സമ്പന്നമായ പട്ടണമായി ഇതിനെ അമേരിക്കൻ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി സർവെ കണക്കാക്കുന്നു. രാജ്യത്ത് പാർപ്പിടവില ഏറ്റവുമധികം കൂടുതലുള്ളതും ഇവിടെയാണ്.[5]

തിരുത്തുക1769 ൽ സാൻ ഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ അർദ്ധദ്വീപിൽ ആദ്യ യൂറോപ്യൻ സംഘവുമായി പര്യവേക്ഷണം നടത്തിയ സ്പാനിഷ് പര്യവേഷകനായ ഗാസ്പർ ഡി പോർട്ടോളയുടെ പേരിനെ അനുസ്മരിച്ചാണ് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിനു പോർട്ടോളാ വാലി എന്നു നാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. പട്ടണം 1964 ൽ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ഏകീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[6]
