പെറോവ്സ്കിയ അട്രിപ്ലിസിഫോളിയ

പെറോവ്സ്കിയ അട്രിപ്ലിസിഫോളിയ (Perovskia atriplicifolia) റഷ്യൻ സേജ് എന്ന് സാധാരണയായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബഹുവർഷസസ്യങ്ങളും, കുറ്റിച്ചെടികളും, ഔഷധസസ്യങ്ങളും, സപുഷ്പികളും, ആയ സസ്യങ്ങളാണ്. സാൽവിയയിലെ ഒരു അംഗമല്ലെങ്കിലും, അവയോടൊപ്പം വളരെ അടുപ്പം കാണിക്കുന്ന മറ്റു സസ്യങ്ങളുടെ ജനുസ്സുകളെ സാധാരണയായി സേജ് എന്നുവിളിക്കുന്നു. സാധാരണയായി 0.5-1.2 മീറ്റർ വരെ ഉയരവും (1.6-3.9 അടി), ചതുരത്തിലുള്ള തണ്ടുകളും നരച്ച പച്ച നിറമുള്ള ഇലകൾ അടർത്തുമ്പോൾ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സൌരഭ്യവും ഇവയുടെ പ്രത്യേകതകളാണ്. ഇതിന്റെ പൂക്കൾ ഏറെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. വേനൽക്കാലം മുതൽ ഒക്ടോബർ വരെ പൂക്കാലമാണ്. നീല കലർന്ന വയലറ്റ് നിറമുള്ള പുഷ്പങ്ങൾ ശാഖകളിലെ ഞെട്ടുകളിൽ ധാരാളമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.

അഫ്ഗാനിസ്താനിലെ വില്യം ഗ്രിഫിത്ത് ശേഖരിച്ച ഒരു മാതൃകയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി 1848-ൽ ജോർജ് ബെന്തം പെറോവ്സ്കിയ അട്രിപ്ലിസിഫോളിയയെ വിവരിച്ചിരുന്നു.[1] ഹൊളോടൈപ്പ് സ്പീഷീസായ ഇതിനെ ക്യൂ ഗാർഡൻസ് ഹെർബറിയത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.[2].പ്രത്യേക എപ്പിത്തെറ്റ് അട്രിപ്ലിസിഫോളിയ എന്നാൽ "with leaves like Atriplex" എന്നാണർത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്.[3] അതിന്റെ സമാനതയെ സാൾട്ട്ബുഷിനെ പരാമർശിക്കുന്നു.[4]
