ഐവറി കോസ്റ്റിലെ അബിജനിൽ ജനിച്ച പാസ്കൽ അക്ക വളർന്നത് ഘാനയിലാണ്.[9] ഒന്റാറിയോ ആസ്ഥാനമായുള്ള യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി ഓഫ് കാൾട്ടണിൽ ചേർന്ന അദ്ദേഹം അവിടെ "ഫിലിം സ്റ്റഡീസ് പ്രോഗ്രാം" പഠിച്ചു. ഒട്ടാവയിലെ ഇൻഡിപെൻഡന്റ് ഫിലിം മേക്കേഴ്‌സ് കോഓപ്പറേറ്റീവിലെ മുൻ ട്രെയിനിയും, അതിൽ ഡയറക്ടർ ജനറലായും ഡൈവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാനായും വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. 21-ാം വയസ്സിൽ അദ്ദേഹം നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുകയും സഹനടനായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത "ജാമി ആൻഡ് എഡ്ഡി: സോൾസ് ഓഫ് സ്‌ട്രൈഫ്" എന്ന തന്റെ ആദ്യ സിനിമ നിർമ്മിച്ചു. കാനഡയിൽ 9 വർഷത്തിനുശേഷം പാസ്കൽ ഘാനയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി. "ബ്രേക്ക്ത്രൂ മീഡിയ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻസ്" എന്ന പേരിൽ സ്വന്തം നിർമ്മാണ കമ്പനി ആരംഭിച്ചു. [10][11]
