ഇന്ത്യൻ സംസ്ഥാനമായ ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ ഷിംല ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനാണ് താരാദേവി റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷൻ.[1] യുനെസ്കോയുടെ ലോക പൈതൃക സ്ഥലമായ കൽക്ക-ഷിംല റെയിൽവേയിലാണ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.[2] ഷിംലയിൽ നിന്ന് 8 കിലോമീറ്ററും കൽക്കയിൽ നിന്ന് 81 കിലോമീറ്ററും അകലെ ശരാശരി സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് 1,849 മീറ്റർ (6066 അടി) ഉയരത്തിലാണ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

ഈ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷന് അംബാല റെയിൽവേ ഡിവിഷന്റെ അധികാരപരിധിയിൽ TVI യുടെ റെയിൽവേ കോഡ് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[3][4]
ഈ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷന് മാതാ താരാ ദേവിയിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ പേര് വന്നത്. സങ്കട മോചനൻ, താരാദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം എന്നിവ ഈ സ്റ്റേഷന് സമീപമാണ്. 992 മീറ്റർ (3,255 അടി) നീളമുള്ള മൂന്നാമത്തെ നീളമേറിയ തുരങ്കം (No.91) ഷിംലയിൽ ഈ സ്റ്റേഷൻ അവസാനിക്കുന്നയിടത്താണ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.[5]
