ജിയാങ് സെമിൻ 2022 നവംബർ 30-ന് 96-ആം വയസ്സിൽ ഷാങ്ഹായിൽ വച്ച് അന്തരിച്ചു. ചൈനീസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ് മീഡിയ സിൻ‌ഹുവ ന്യൂസ് ഏജൻസിയുടെ അറിയിപ്പ് പ്രകാരം, രക്താർബുദം ബാധിച്ചിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം ഒന്നിലധികം അവയവങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവർത്തന സ്തംഭനം മൂലം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12:13 ന് അന്തരിച്ചു.[1][2][3]
