ഒരു നൈജീരിയൻ നടിയും സംവിധായികയും ചലച്ചിത്ര നിർമ്മാതാവുമാണ് ചിയോമ ചുക്വുക (ജനനം മാർച്ച് 12, 1980, ചിയോമ ചുക്വുക അക്‌പോത അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ചിയോമ അക്‌പോത എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു). 2007-ൽ, "സിൻസ് ഓഫ് ദി ഫ്ലെഷ്" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് "പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെ മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള" ആഫ്രിക്ക മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡും 2010-ൽ ഒരു പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെ മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള ആഫ്രോ ഹോളിവുഡ് അവാർഡും അവർ നേടി.[1][2][3]

ചിയോമ ചുക്വുക 1980 മാർച്ച് 12-ന് ലാഗോസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റിലാണ് [4] ജനിച്ചത്. നൈജീരിയയിലെ അനമ്പ്ര സംസ്ഥാനത്തിലെ എക്വുസിഗോ ലോക്കൽ ഗവൺമെന്റ് ഏരിയയിലെ ഒറൈഫൈറ്റിലാണ് അവർ ജനിച്ചത്.[5] ലാഗോസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ ഓൺവാർഡ് നഴ്‌സറിയിലും പ്രൈമറി സ്‌കൂളിലും പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ അവർ, സെക്കൻഡറി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി അനമ്പ്ര സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഒനിത്‌ഷയിലുള്ള ഫെഡറൽ ഗവൺമെന്റ് ഗേൾസ് കോളേജിലേക്ക് പോയി. ചിയോമ പിന്നീട് ലാഗോസ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലേക്ക് പോയി, അവിടെ ബാങ്കിംഗും ഫിനാൻസും പഠിച്ചു.[6][7]

2000-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ "ദി ആപ്പിൾ" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ചിയോമ ചുക്വുകയുടെ അഭിനയ ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ചത്.[8] ചിയോമ 2000-ൽ ദി ഹാൻഡ്‌കെർചീഫ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലും അഭിനയിച്ചു.[9] 2007-ൽ സിൻസ് ഓഫ് ദ ഫ്ലെഷ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡിൽ "പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെ മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള " അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. 2014-ൽ "Accident" എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ "മികച്ച നടി"ക്കുള്ള ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡിനും അവർ നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. 20 വർഷത്തെ അനുഭവപരിചയമുള്ള അവർ 350-ലധികം നോളിവുഡ് സിനിമകളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 6 സിനിമകൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും നിരവധി അവാർഡുകൾ അവരുടെ ക്രെഡിറ്റിൽ നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു. 2019 ജനുവരിയിൽ മാസ്റ്റർക്ലാസ് വിത് ചിയോമ എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു കപ്പാസിറ്റി-ബിൽഡിംഗ് പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. അവിടെ അഭിനേതാക്കൾ, പരിചയസമ്പന്നരായ സിനിമാ നിർമ്മാതാക്കൾ, തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുക്കൾ, മറ്റ് വ്യവസായ പ്രൊഫഷണലുകൾ എന്നിവരാൽ സിനിമ, ടിവി, തിയേറ്റർ എന്നിവയിൽ നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ എന്താണ് വേണ്ടതെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
