ജീവിതവും കരിയറും തിരുത്തുക
1948 ജൂൺ 14 ന് നൈജീരിയയിലെ അനാംബ്ര സ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ ന്യൂവി നോർത്തിൽ ജനിച്ചു.[3] പോർട്ട് ഹാർ‌കോർട്ടിലെ എലെലെൻവൊ ആർച്ച്ഡീക്കൺ ക്രോതർ മെമ്മോറിയൽ ഗേൾസ് സ്കൂളിൽ സെക്കൻഡറി വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടി. 1965-ൽ അവിടെ നിന്ന് വെസ്റ്റ് ആഫ്രിക്കൻ സ്കൂൾ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് (WASC) നേടി.[4] ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലെ സതാംപ്ടൺ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ ചേരുകയും അവിടെ നിന്ന് സിവിൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗിൽ സയൻസ് ബിരുദം (ബിഎസ്‌സി) നേടി.[5] ലോഫ്ബറോ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് ഭൂഗർഭജലത്തിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദ ഡിപ്ലോമ (പിജിഡി) നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[6] 1979-ൽ ലണ്ടൻ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി കോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് ഹൈഡ്രോളജി, ഹൈഡ്രോജിയോളജി എന്നിവയിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദവും നേടി. 2001-ൽ എൻ‌സുക്കയിലെ നൈജീരിയ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് മാസ്റ്റർ ഓഫ് ബിസിനസ് അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേഷൻ, എം‌ബി‌എ ബിരുദം നേടാൻ നൈജീരിയയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി.[7][8] 2007 മാർച്ചിൽ, മിനിസ്ട്രി ഓഫ് വാട്ടർറിസോഴ്സിന്റെ[പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്ത കണ്ണി] സ്ഥിരം സെക്രട്ടറിയായി. മാസങ്ങളുടെ സേവനത്തിനുശേഷം, നൈജീരിയൻ സിവിൽ സർവീസിന്റെ തലവനായി. നൈജീരിയയുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആ പദവിയിൽ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ച ആദ്യ വനിതയായി.[9] 2008 വരെ നൈജീരിയൻ സിവിൽ സർവീസിൽ നിന്ന് വിരമിക്കുന്നതുവരെ അവർ ഈ പദവി വഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.[10] നൈജീരിയയിലെ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് വികസനത്തിന് വളരെയധികം സംഭാവന നൽകിയ നൈജീരിയൻ സിവിൽ എഞ്ചിനീയർമാരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് അവർ.[11] ഓഫ് പ്രൊഫഷണൽ വുമൺ എഞ്ചിനീയേഴ്സ് ഓഫ് നൈജീരിയ[പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്ത കണ്ണി]യുടെ (APWEN) അബുജ ചാപ്റ്റർ അവർ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.[12] 2014 ലെ നൈജീരിയയിലെ ദേശീയ സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ വിരമിച്ച സിവിൽ സർവീസുകളെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച ആറ് പ്രതിനിധികളിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു അവർ.[13][14]
