നൈജീരിയൻ നടിയാണ് ഉറു ഈക്. റിമെമ്പർ മി, റൂമർ ഹാസ് ഇറ്റ്, ലാസ്റ്റ് ഫ്ലൈറ്റ് ടു അബുജ, വീക്കെൻഡ് ഗെറ്റാവേ, ബിയിങ് മിസിസ് ഏലിയറ്റ് എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെ അവർ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.^[1]^[2]^[3]

തെക്ക്-കിഴക്കൻ നൈജീരിയയിലെ ഇമോ സ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ എംബെയ്‌സ് മേഖലയിൽ നിന്നുള്ളയാളാണ് ഈക്. പക്ഷേ യുണൈറ്റഡ് കിംഗ്ഡത്തിലെ ഈസ്റ്റ് ലണ്ടനിലെ ന്യൂഹാമിലാണ് അവർ ജനിച്ചത്.^[4] നൈജീരിയയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് ലണ്ടനിലെ ഗാലിവാൾ ഇൻഫന്റ്സ് സ്കൂളിലാണ് പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടിയത്. സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി ലാഗോസിലെ ബാപ്റ്റിസ്റ്റ് ഗേൾസ് കോളേജിൽ ചേർന്നു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിയിൽ, ലണ്ടനിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയ അവർ ബിസിനസ് ഇൻഫർമേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഗ്രീൻ‌വിച്ച് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ ചേരുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് ലെവിഷാം സൗത്ത്വാർക്ക് കോളേജിൽ ചേർന്നു.^[4]

സൂറിച്ച് ഇൻഷുറൻസ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ ഐ.ടി കൺസൾട്ടന്റായി ഔദ്യോഗിക ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ച അവർ യുകെയിലുടനീളമുള്ള നിരവധി ധനകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. 2011-ൽ കരിയർ മാറിയ ഉറു നിരവധി സിനിമകളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു.^[5]
