Meenambalam is a picturesque village with paddy fields, gardens, streams, ponds, rocks, hills and ditches. Meenambalam is a small village in the Pallipally village of Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. The ancients used to say that kings used to travel through Meenambalam and built a temple-like resting place for them to rest in between. It is said that the scholar who built the rest house carved three fish on top of that beautiful house which looks like a temple and thus the place where the fish carved temple stands became Meenambalam. This historical monument is still in Meenambalam.
