അനോസോഗ്നോസിയ

തലച്ചോറിലെ നാഡീകോശങ്ങളുടെ തകരാറുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഒരു വൈകല്യമാണ് അനോസോഗ്നോസിയ(Anosognosia). ഇതു ബാധിച്ച രോഗി തന്റെ അവശതകളേയും പരിമിതികളേയും ശക്തിയായി നിഷേധിക്കുന്നു.പോളിഷ് ഫ്രഞ്ച് നാഡീശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ ജോസഫ് ബാബിൻസ്കിയാണ് 1914ൽ ഈ രോഗത്തെ ആദ്യമായി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചത്. പാരൈറ്റൽ ലോബുകൾക്കും ടെമ്പറൽ ഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കും നേരിടുന്ന തകരാറുകൾ ഈ വൈകല്യത്തിനു വഴിതെളിച്ചേക്കാം.
