തിരുത്തുകമില്ലർ ഫ്ലോറിഡയിലെ ജാക്സൺവില്ലയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. മിന്നെസോട്ടയിൽ ബംഗു സുനാമി, മിന്നെസോട്ട തണ്ടർ അക്കാദമി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായി ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.[1] 2011-ൽ മില്ലർ ഗട്ടോറേഡ് പ്ലെയർ ഒഫ് ദ ഇയർ അവാർഡും വുഡ്ബറി ഹൈസ്കൂളിൽ അവസാന വർഷത്തിൽ 15 അസിസ്റ്റുകൾ നേടുകയും, മിന്നെസോട്ട സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന് വേണ്ടി 16 ഗോൾ നേടിയതിന് മിസ്റ്റർ സോക്കർ അവാർഡ് ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[2]
