ഇറ്റാലിയൻ ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കാരനും പരിശീലകനുമാണ് അലസ്സാന്ദ്രൊ നെസ്റ്റ (ജ:19 മാർച്ച് 1976). ഇറ്റലിയുടെ ദേശീയടീമിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്ന നെസ്റ്റ പ്രതിരോധനിരയിൽ മധ്യസ്ഥാനത്താണ് കളിച്ചിരുന്നത്. എതിരാളികൾക്ക് പഴുതൊന്നും അനുവദിക്കാത്ത രീതിയിലുള്ള പ്രതിരോധശൈലിയും, അനുപമമായ പന്തടക്കവും കൈമുതലാക്കിയിരുന്ന നെസ്റ്റയെ ഇറ്റലിയുടെ എന്നത്തേയും മികച്ച പ്രതിരോധനിരക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളായി വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.[3][4] ഇരുപതുവർഷത്തോളം ക്ലബ്ബ് ഫുട്ബോളിലും അന്താരാഷ്ട്രമത്സരങ്ങളിലും നിറഞ്ഞുനിന്ന നെസ്റ്റ ഫിഫയുടെ ശതാബ്ദിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച നൂറുകളിക്കാരുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഒരാളുമാണ്.[5] 78 കളികളിൽ നെസ്റ്റ ഇറ്റലിയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.2006 ലോകകപ്പ് ടീം അംഗവുമായിരുന്നു.ലാസിയോ,മിലാൻ എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു പ്രധാന ക്ലബ്ബുകൾ.
