ഹെൻറി ഡ്യൂട്രോചേറ്റ്
1776ൽ ഫ്രാൻസിൽ ജനിച്ച് ഹെൻറി ഡ്യൂട്രോചേറ്റ് (Henri Dutrochet) നടത്തിയ പഠനങ്ങൾ സസ്യകോശങ്ങളും ജന്തുകോശങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള അടിസ്ഥാന ബന്ധം വിശദമാക്കി. കോശങ്ങളിലെ ഓസ്മോസിസ് (osmosis) അദ്ദേഹം കൃത്യമായി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ജീവജാലങ്ങളുടെ ഘടനാപരവും ശരീരധർമപരവുമായ അടിസ്ഥാന ഘടകമാണു കോശങ്ങൾ എന്ന വിശദീകരണം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റേതാണ് .
