സെന്റ് സിസിലിയ (ആർട്ടെമിസിയ ജെന്റിലേച്ചി)

ഒരു ഇറ്റാലിയൻ ബറോക്ക് ചിത്രകാരിയായിരുന്നു ആർട്ടമേസ്യാ ജെന്റിലേസ്ച്ചി. ഇന്ന് കാരവാജിയോയുടെ തലമുറയിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ചിത്രകാരന്മാരിൽ ഒരാളായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇറ്റലിയിലെ റോമിൽ ജനിച്ച ആർട്ടമേസ്യാ ജെന്റിലേസ്ച്ചി (ജൂലൈ 8, 1593 – c1.656)ചിത്രകാരനായ ഓറേഷ്യോ ജെന്റിലേസ്ച്ചിയുടെയും പ്രുഡൻഷ്യോ മോണ്ടണിന്റെയും മകളായിരുന്നു. കാരവാജിയോ, ഗ്വിദോ റെന്നി എന്നിവരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ അവരെ സ്വാധീനിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിൽക്കാലത്തുണ്ടായ ചില ദാരുണ സംഭവങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ കലാജീവിതത്തെ ബാധിച്ചെങ്കിലും അതിനെ അതിജീവിച്ച് അവർ പിന്നീട് ചിത്രരചനയിൽ മുഴുകി.[3]
