സാൻഡോരിനി

ഗ്രീസിലെ പ്രധാന ഭൂവിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ തെക്ക് കിഴക്ക് 200 കി. മീ. തെക്കൻ ഈജിയൻ കടലിലെ ഒരു ദ്വീപാണ് സാൻഡോരിനി (ഗ്രീക്ക്: Σαντορίνη, ഉച്ചാരണം ['സാൻഡോ രിനി']), പുരാതന നാമം തെര (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഉച്ചാരണം / θɪərə /),ഔദ്യോഗികമായി തിര (ഗ്രീക്ക്: Θήρα [ˈθira]) ചെറിയ, വൃത്താകൃതിയിലുള്ള ദ്വീപസമൂഹത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ദ്വീപായ ഇത് അതേ പേരിൽ തന്നെയുള്ള അഗ്നിപർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ അവശേഷിപ്പായ കാൽഡെറയും ആണ്. സൈക്ലേഡ്സ് ദ്വീപസമൂഹത്തിന്റെ തെക്കേ ഭാഗമായ ഈ ദ്വീപസമൂഹം ഏകദേശം 73 km² (28 sq mi) ആണ്. 2011-ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ഇവിടത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യ 15,550 ആണ്.
