വടേശ്വരൻ
പല ത്രികോണമിതീയ സിദ്ധാന്തങ്ങളും അവതരിപ്പിച്ച കാശ്മീരിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായിരുന്നു 10-ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന വടേശ്വരൻ (वटेश्वर)[1][2](ജനനം 880, പഞ്ചാബിലെ അനന്തപുരത്ത്). അദ്ദേഹം ക്രി.വ. 904-ൽ രചിച്ച വടേശ്വര സിദ്ധാന്തം[3] എന്ന കൃതി ജ്യോതിശാസ്ത്രത്തിലെയും പ്രായോഗിക ഗണിതത്തിലെയും ഒരു സിദ്ധാന്തമാണ്.
