ബ്രോമെറ്റ് ആംസ്റ്റർഡാം സർവകലാശാലയിൽ ഡച്ച് ഭാഷയും സാഹിത്യവും സാംസ്കാരിക പഠനങ്ങളും പഠിച്ചു. അവർ ഒരു പത്രപ്രവർത്തക, മാഗസിൻ എഡിറ്റർ, അധ്യാപിക, പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തക, ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി ഫിലിം മേക്കർ, അഡ്വൈസർ എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.[1]
2018-ൽ എംപി ആകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് അവർ ഒരു കൗൺസിലറും തുടർന്ന് വാട്ടർലാൻഡിലെ അൾഡർവുമണുമായിരുന്നു.[2]
പ്രോഗ്രാം മേക്കർ ഫ്രാൻസ് ബ്രോമെറ്റിന്റെ മകളാണ് ലോറ ബ്രോമെറ്റ്.[2]അവർ ഭാഗികമായി ജൂത വംശജയാണ് (അവരുടെ മുത്തച്ഛൻ ജൂതനായിരുന്നു). 1996 മുതൽ 2009 വരെ അവർ ബ്രോമെറ്റ് & ഡോക്റ്റേഴ്സിൽ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവായിരുന്നു.[1]
