യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് മിഷിഗൺ
യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് മിഷിഗൺ (U-M, UM, UMich, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ U of M) മിഷിഗൺ എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ മിഷിഗൺ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ആൻ അർബ്ബറിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു പൊതു ഗവേഷണ സർവ്വകലാശാലയാണ്. 1817 ൽ മിഷിഗൺ പ്രദേശം ഒരു സംസ്ഥാനമായി മാറുന്നതിന് 20 വർഷം മുൻപ് ഡെട്രോയിറ്റിൽ Catholepistemiad അഥവാ 'യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് മിഷിഗണിയ' ആയി ഇതു സ്ഥാപിതമായി. 1821 ൽ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫ് മിഷിഗൺ എന്നു പുനർനാമകരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ആൻ ആർബ്ബറിൽ ഇന്നു സെൻട്രൽ കാമ്പസ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന 40 ഏക്കർ (16 ഹെക്ടർ) വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള പ്രദേശത്തേയ്ക്ക് 1837 ൽ ഇതു മാറ്റി സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ആൻബർബോയിലേക്ക് 40 ഏക്കർ (16 ഹെക്ടറിൽ) വന്നു, ഇപ്പോൾ സെൻട്രൽ കാമ്പസ് എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
