റാക്‌ടോപാമൈനിന്റെയും മറ്റ് അഡിറ്റീവുകളുടെയും ഉപയോഗം സംശയാസ്പദമാണെന്നും ശാസ്ത്രീയ ഗവേഷണങ്ങൾ പൂർണ്ണമായി അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നും ചെൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.[12][13] കൂടാതെ തായ്‌വാനിലേക്കുള്ള യുഎസ് ബീഫ് ഇറക്കുമതിയിൽ റാക്‌ടോപാമൈൻ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയാൽ അത് അംഗീകരിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.[14][15] നൈട്രേറ്റ്, റേഡിയേഷൻ മലിനീകരണം [16][17][18] എന്നിവയിൽ മറ്റ് ഭക്ഷ്യസുരക്ഷാ ആശങ്കകളെക്കുറിച്ച് അവബോധം വളർത്തുന്നതിൽ അവർ സജീവമാണ്.[19][20]പൊതുജനാരോഗ്യത്തിന്റെയും പരിസ്ഥിതിയുടെയും അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ സിഗരറ്റ് ഉപഭോഗത്തിനെതിരെ ചെൻ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[21][22]ആ വർഷം വ്യാപകമായ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയ ഭക്ഷണ അഴിമതിക്ക് സമാനമായ ഒരു ആരോഗ്യ ഭയം ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് 2013-ൽ നിർദ്ദേശിച്ച സ്‌ക്രാപ്പ് ലോഹത്തെ അപകടകരമല്ലാത്ത മെറ്റീരിയലായി പുനർവർഗ്ഗീകരിക്കുന്നതിനെ അവർ എതിർത്തു. തായ്‌വാൻ വിമൻസ് അസോസിയേഷനുകളുടെ നാഷണൽ യൂണിയന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലും ചെൻ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[24] ഈ പദവിയിൽ, സർക്കാർ അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ-വ്യാപാര ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി പൊതുഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്നതിനെ ചെൻ എതിർത്തു.[25] 2009-ൽ, നിയമനിർമ്മാതാവായ സായ് ചിൻ-ലുങ്ങിനെതിരെ അവർ ഒരു പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകി. അദ്ദേഹം പൊതു മേൽനോട്ട സംഘടനയായ സിറ്റിസൺ കോൺഗ്രസ് വാച്ചിനെതിരെ അപവാദം ആരോപിച്ചു.[26] ആ വർഷം അവസാനം പെംഗുവിൽ ഒരു കാസിനോ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നത് തടയാനുള്ള ഒരു പ്രചാരണത്തിലും ചെൻ പങ്കെടുത്തു.[27] അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാപനം പരിഗണിക്കുന്നതിനായി സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ ഒരു റഫറണ്ടം നടത്തി, പക്ഷേ അത് പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു.[28][29]

കരിയർ തിരുത്തുക

ഗ്രീൻ പാർട്ടി തായ്‌വാൻ തായ്‌പേയ് സിറ്റി കൗൺസിലിലേക്കുള്ള ചെനിന്റെ 2006 പ്രചാരണത്തെ പിന്തുണച്ചു.[38] പിന്നീട് അവർ പാർട്ടി കൺവീനറായി.[39] 2008-ലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ തായ്‌പേയ് കൗണ്ടി 9-ആം ജില്ലയിൽ നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന് ഗ്രീൻ പാർട്ടി തായ്‌വാൻ പിന്തുണ ചെന് ലഭിച്ചു.[40] 2015-ൽ, ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് പ്രോഗ്രസീവ് പാർട്ടിയുടെ ആനുപാതിക പ്രാതിനിധ്യ പാർട്ടി ലിസ്റ്റ് ബാലറ്റിലേക്ക് ചെൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയും പിന്നീട് ലെജിസ്ലേറ്റീവ് യുവാനിലേക്ക് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.[41][42] 2016-ൽ, പെൻഗു കൗണ്ടി കാസിനോകളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ റഫറണ്ടം പരിഗണിച്ചു, ചെനും എതിർത്തു.[43][44] ആദ്യ വോട്ട് പോലെ, രണ്ടാമത്തെ റഫറണ്ടം വിജയിച്ചില്ല.[45][46] അവിവാഹിതരായ സ്ത്രീകളുടെ പങ്കാളികൾക്ക് പ്രസവാവധി ദീർഘിപ്പിക്കാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടുള്ള തൊഴിൽ നിയമത്തിലെ ലിംഗസമത്വ നിയമത്തിലെ ഭേദഗതിയെ അവർ മെയ് മാസത്തിൽ പിന്തുണച്ചു.[47]സമുദ്ര സംരക്ഷണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്ന ഒരു സർക്കാർ മന്ത്രാലയം സ്ഥാപിക്കാനുള്ള ആഹ്വാനത്തെയും ചെൻ പിന്തുണച്ചു.[48][49]
