ഫ്ലോറൻസ് ബാസ്കം (ജൂലൈ14, 1862 – ജൂൺ 18, 1945) യുണൈറ്റഡ് സ്റ്റേറ്റ്സിൽ ഭൂഗർഭശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ മാസ്റ്റർ ബിരുദം നേടുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ വനിതയും ജോൺസ് ഹോപ്കിൻസ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് മാസ്റ്റർ ബിരുദം നേടുന്ന ആദ്യത്തെ വനിതയും ആയിരുന്നു. [1][2]ഭൂഗർഭശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടിയ ആദ്യ വനിതകളിൽ ഒരാളായ ഫ്ലോറൻസ് 1896-ൽ യുഎസ് ജിയോളജിക്കൽ സർവേയിൽ ആദ്യവനിതയായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് [3][4] ഈ മേഖലയിലെ തന്റെ നൂതനമായ കണ്ടുപിടിത്തങ്ങളിലൂടെ അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു, കൂടാതെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ സ്ത്രീ ഭൂഗർഭശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരുടെ അടുത്ത തലമുറയെ അവർ നയിച്ചു. ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞർ ഇവരെ "അമേരിക്കയിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ സ്ത്രീ ഭൂഗർഭശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞയായി പരിഗണിക്കുന്നു.[4]
