Usage

This template is intended to be used within station and line infoboxes to show a small color box and a link to the associated line or service name.

Parameter	Description
system	An identifier to specify which system's color and line article name convention should be used
line	The line or service to be linked
inline	An optional parameter to create a colorbox and link suitable for use inline with other text Valid arguments are yes, small, and box
note	An optional note with more information

For systems where multiple colors are used to designate different lines, the appropriate color will be selected based on the combination of the system and line parameters.

The template can be abbreviated as {{rcb}} where the explicit parameter names |system=, |line=, and |inline= can be omitted.

Examples

{{rail color box|system=Amtrak|line=Southwest Chief}} and {{rcb|Amtrak|Southwest Chief}} produce

Southwest Chief

{{rail color box|system=SEPTA|line=Wilmington/Newark|note=(rush hour service only)}} and {{rcb|SEPTA|Wilmington/Newark|note=(rush hour service only)}} produce

Wilmington/Newark Line (rush hour service only)

The optional parameter |inline=yes allows {{rail color box}} output to appear inline with text. Both {{rail color box|system=RTD|line=C|inline=yes}} and {{rcb|RTD|C|yes}} produce  C Line. The other two options are

|inline=box		link omitted
|inline=small	C Line	smaller color box
