Parameters

The template takes up to two parameters and returns the party colour. If a person is independent/nonpartisan then no parameter is passed to the template.

Colour

The first parameter is used for choosing the relevant political party. If used alone it will return the colour code for the party's official colour in hexadecimal.

bgc or style

The second parameter can have one of two values:

bgc (background colour)

The template will return the colour code for the political party chosen in the first parameter along with the CSS background-color property.

style

The template will return the colour code for the political party chosen in the first parameter along with the XHTML style attribute containing the CSS background-color property.
