പിയർ (/ˈpɪər/ PEER)[6] (Lakota: čhúŋkaške;[7] "fort") യു.എസ്. സംസ്ഥാനമായ തെക്കൻ ഡെക്കോട്ടയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനവും ഹഗ്ഗസ് കൌണ്ടിയുടെ കൌണ്ടി സീറ്റുമാണ്. ഈ പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 2010 ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം 13,646 ആണ്. വെർമോണ്ടിലെ മോണ്ടിപെലിയർ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ കുറഞ്ഞ ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ സംസ്ഥാന തലസ്ഥാനമാണ് പിയർ. മിസൌറി നദിയുടെ കിഴക്കേ കരയിലായി ഫോർട്ട് പിയറിന് അഭിമുഖമായി 1880 ൽ പട്ടണം സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. തെക്കൻ ഡെക്കോട്ടയ്ക്കു 1889 നവംബർ 2 ന് സംസ്ഥാന പദവി ലഭിച്ച കാലം മുതൽ പിയറാണ് തലസ്ഥാനമായി തുടരുന്നത്.
ഹഗ്ഗസ്, സ്റ്റാൻലി കൌണ്ടികൾക്കൂടി ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പിയർ മെട്രോപോളിറ്റൻ സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്കൽ മേഖലയിലെ പ്രമുഖ പട്ടണമാണ് പിയർ.
പിയർ പട്ടണം നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന അക്ഷാംശ രേഖാംശങ്ങൾ 44°22′5″N 100°20′11″W (44.367966, −100.336378) ആണ്.[9]
