പി. ശിവശങ്കർ (Born 10 August 1929) ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വിദേശകാര്യവും നിയമവും പെട്രോളിയം എന്നീ വകുപ്പുകൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്ത കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്നു. സിക്കിമിന്റെയും കേരളത്തിന്റെയും ഗവർണ്ണറായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. [1]

വ്യക്തിജീവിതം തിരുത്തുക
10 August 1929ന് തെലങ്കാനയിലെ ഹൈദ്രബാദ് ജില്ലയിലെ മമിഡിപള്ളിയിലാണ് പി. ശിവശങ്കർ ജനിച്ചത്. അമ്രിത്സറിലെ ഹിന്ദു കോളെജിൽ ബി. എ. പാസ്സായി. ഓസ്മാനിയ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽനിന്നും എൽ എൽ. ബി. പാസ്സൈ. ഡോ. പി ലക്ഷ്മിഭായിയെ വിവാഹം അക്ഴിച്ചു. രണ്ടു കുട്ടികൾ.
ഔദ്യോഗികജിവിതം തിരുത്തുക
1974-75 കാലത്ത് പി. ശിവശങ്കർ ആന്ത്രപ്രദേശ് ഹൈക്കോർട്ടിൽ ന്യായാധിപനായിരുന്നു. 1979ൽ സെക്കന്തരാബാദിൽ നിന്നും ഇന്ത്യൻ നാഷണൽ കോൺഗ്രസ്സിന്റെ പ്രതിനിധിയായി ലോക്‌സഭയിലെത്തി. 1980ൽ ഇന്ദിരാ ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെ കാലത്ത് അദ്ദേഹം നീതി നിയമവകുപ്പു മന്ത്രിയായി. [2][3]
1985ൽ ഗുജറാത്തിൽനിന്നും രാജ്യസഭയിലേയ്ക്കു രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. [4]വിദേശകാര്യ മത്രിയും മാനവശേഷിവകുപ്പു മന്ത്രിയുമായി ആ 2 വട്ടം അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. 1987 മുതൽ 1988 വരെ അദ്ദേഹം ആസൂത്രണക്കമ്മീഷന്റെ ഡപ്യൂട്ടി ചെയർമാൻ ആയി. 1988 മുതൽ 1989 വരെ രാജ്യസഭാ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനായി. 1989 മുതൽ 1991 വരെ രാജ്യസഭയിലെ പ്രതിപക്ഷനേതാവായി.
21 September 1994ൽ സിക്കിമിന്റെ ഗവർണ്ണറായി. 11 November 1995 വരെ അതു തുടർന്നു. 1995 മുതൽ 1996 വരെ കേരളത്തിന്റെ ഗവർണ്ണറുമായി.[5] He also was Governor of Kerala from 1995 to 1996.[1]
2004ൽ കോൺഗ്രസ്സുമായി അഭിപ്രായവ്യത്യാസമുണ്ടായതിനാൽ ആ പാർട്ടി വിട്ട് ചിരഞ്ജീവിയുടെ പ്രജാ രാജ്യ പാർട്ടിയിൽ ചേർന്നു. എന്നാൽ 2011ൽ പ്രജാ രാജ്യ പാർട്ടി കോൺഗ്രസ്സിൽ ലയിച്ചു.[6]
