പോസ്റ്റ് ഓർഗാസ്മിക് ഇൽനെസ് സിൻഡ്രോം
സ്ഖലനത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ആളുകൾക്ക് വിട്ടുമാറാത്ത ശാരീരികവും ധാരണാശക്തികൊണ്ട്‌ അറിയുന്ന ലക്ഷണങ്ങളുള്ള ഒരു സിൻഡ്രോം ആണ് പോസ്റ്റ്ഓർഗാസ്മിക് ഇൽനെസ് സിൻഡ്രോം (POIS). രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ സാധാരണയായി സെക്കൻഡുകൾ, മിനിറ്റുകൾ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മണിക്കൂറുകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ആരംഭിക്കുകയും ഒരാഴ്ച വരെ നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.[1] കാരണവും വ്യാപനവും അജ്ഞാതമാണ്[2] ഇതൊരു അപൂർവ രോഗമായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[3]

എപ്പിഡെമിയോളജി തിരുത്തുക
POIS-ന്റെ വ്യാപനം അജ്ഞാതമാണ്.[2] അമേരിക്കൻ നാഷണൽ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ഹെൽത്തും[3] യൂറോപ്യൻ ഓർഫനെറ്റും POIS ഒരു അപൂർവ രോഗമായി പട്ടികപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[4] ഇത് രോഗനിർണ്ണയത്തിന് വിധേയമല്ലെന്നും റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലെന്നും കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.[5] ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള, വിവിധ പ്രായത്തിലുള്ള, ബന്ധ നിലയിലുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരെയാണ് POIS ബാധിക്കുന്നത്.[6]

2016 ലെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച് സ്ത്രീകളിൽ സമാനമായ ഒരു രോഗം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത് സാധ്യമാണ്, എന്നിരുന്നാലും ഒരു ഡോക്യുമെന്റഡ് പെൺ രോഗി മാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ.[1]
