നില്ല ക്രാം കുക്ക്

ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ എഴുത്തുകാരിയും ഭാഷാപണ്ഡിതയും വിവർത്തകയും കലാ രക്ഷാധികാരിയുമായിരുന്നു നില്ല ക്രാം കുക്ക് (1908 ഡിസംബർ 21 - ഒക്ടോബർ 11, 1982), നില്ല നാഗിനി ദേവി എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

നാടകകൃത്ത് ജോർജ്ജ് ക്രാം കുക്കിന്റെയും രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭാര്യയായ പത്രപ്രവർത്തകയായ മോളി അനസ്താസിയ പ്രൈസിന്റെയും മകളായി അയോവയിലെ ഡേവൻപോർട്ടിലാണ് നിലാ ക്രാം കുക്ക് ജനിച്ചത്. അവരുടെ പിതാവും രണ്ടാനമ്മയുമായ സൂസൻ ഗ്ലാസ്‌പെൽ ഗ്രീസിൽ ചെറിയ പെൺകുട്ടിയായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. അവിടെ ഭാഷകളും സംസ്കാരവും പഠിച്ചു. 1931-ൽ, കുക്ക് തന്റെ ഭർത്താവിനെ ഗ്രീസിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഇളയ മകനെ കാശ്മീരിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു [2] അവിടെ ഗാന്ധിയുടെ അനുയായിയായി. [3][4] ഹിന്ദുമതം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. [5] സംസ്കൃതം, ഹിന്ദി, പേർഷ്യൻ സാഹിത്യങ്ങൾ പഠിച്ചു. ഷേവ് ചെയ്ത തലയും നഗ്നപാദയുമായി [6] ഗാന്ധിയുടെ ആശ്രമം വിട്ടതിനു ശേഷം [7][8] അവരുടെ കാർ തകരുകയും [9] 1934 -ൽ കൊൽക്കത്തയിൽ, ഒരു മാസം ആശുപത്രിയിൽ കഴിയുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1927-ൽ 18 -ആം വയസ്സിൽ, നില്ല ക്രാമ് കുക്ക് ഗ്രീക്ക് കവിയും സർക്കാർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനുമായ നിക്കോസ് പ്രോസ്റ്റോപൗലോസിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. അവർക്ക് ഒരു മകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സെറിയോസ് നിക്കോളാസ് പ്രോസ്റ്റോപൗലോസ് (സിറിയസ് കുക്ക് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു).
