ഡോളോറസ് അല്യൂ റിയേര
ഡോളോറസ് അല്യൂ റിയേര (ജീവിതകാലം: ഏപ്രിൽ 7, 1857 ബാഴ്സലോണയിൽ[1] - 19 ഫെബ്രുവരി 1913) അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു സ്പാനിഷ് മെഡിക്കൽ ഡോക്ടറായിരുന്നു.[2][3][4] വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ലൈസൻസ് നേടിയ സ്പെയിനിലെ ആദ്യ വനിതയും ഡോക്ടർ ഓഫ് മെഡിസിൻ ബിരുദം നേടിയ രാജ്യത്തെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വനിതയുമാണ് അവർ.[5][6]

ജീവിതരേഖ തിരുത്തുക
മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ ഏകമകളായിരുന്ന അല്യൂ റിയേര അഞ്ചാമത്തെ വയസ്സിൽ വായിക്കാൻ പഠിച്ചു.[7] ബാഴ്‌സലോണ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അവർ 1874-1875 കാലത്ത് വലൻസിയ സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ക്ലാസുകളിലും പങ്കെടുത്തു.[8] 1874 ജൂലൈയിൽ അവൾ അണ്ടർഗ്രാജുവേറ്റ് ബിരുദം നേടി. അടുത്ത സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ അവൾ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്ര വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ ചേർന്നു. 1879-ൽ അല്യൂ തന്റെ പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയെങ്കിലും, 1882 ലെ വസന്തകാലത്ത് വരെയുള്ള മൂന്നു വർഷക്കാലം അവൾക്ക് ലൈസൻസിംഗ് പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാനുള്ള അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചില്ല. ഒടുവിൽ ആ വർഷം ജൂൺ 19-ന് അവൾ പരീക്ഷ എഴുതി.[9] മികച്ച മാർക്കോടെ വിജയിച്ച അല്യൂ റിയേര അങ്ങനെ മെഡിസിൻ പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്യാൻ ലൈസൻസുള്ള ആദ്യത്തെ സ്പാനിഷ് വനിതയായി.[10] 1882 ഒക്ടോബർ 8-ന് മെഡിസിനിൽ ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് നേടുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ സ്പാനിഷ് വനിതയായി അലൂ മാറി (മാർട്ടിന കാസ്റ്റെൽസ് ബാലെസ്പിയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ച് ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം അവൾക്കും എംഡി ലഭിച്ചു).[11]

അലൂ റിയേര ഗൈനക്കോളജിയിലും പീഡിയാട്രിക്സിലും വൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[12] സ്പെയിനിൽ മെഡിസിൻ പഠിച്ച ആദ്യത്തെ മൂന്ന് സ്ത്രീകളിൽ ഒരാളായ (കാസ്റ്റെൽസിനും മരിയ എലീന മസെറസിനും പുറമേ), അല്യൂ റിയേര മാത്രം മെഡിസിൻ പ്രാക്ടീസ് ചെയ്തു. ബാഴ്സലോണയിൽ ഒരു മെഡിക്കൽ കൺസൾട്ടിംഗ് സ്ഥാപനം ആരംഭിച്ച അല്യൂ റിയേര അത് 25 വർഷം മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.[13] കാസ്റ്റൽസ്, അതിനിടയിൽ, പരിശീലനത്തിന് മുമ്പ് മരണമടയുകയും എലീന മസെറസ് തന്റെ കരിയർ അധ്യാപനത്തിനായി സമർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[14]
സ്വകാര്യ ജീവിതം തിരുത്തുക
1883-ൽ അല്യൂ റിയേര കാമിലോ കുയാസ് മാർട്ടിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു.[15] അവർക്ക് രണ്ട് ജുവാൻ, കാമിലോ എന്നീ ആൺമക്കളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. മൂത്തവനായ ജുവാൻ ഇൻഡസ്ട്രിയൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് പഠിച്ചപ്പോൾ കാമിലോ വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രം പഠിച്ചു. കാമിലോ 23-ാം വയസ്സിൽ ക്ഷയരോഗം ബാധിച്ച് ദാരുണമായി മരിച്ചു. ഈ മരണം 56-ാം വയസ്സിൽ അല്യൂവിന്റെ സ്വന്തം മരണത്തിന് കാരണമായി എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.[16]
