ഇന്ത്യൻ കരസേനയിൽ നിലവിലുള്ള റെജിമെന്റുകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് ഡോഗ്ര റെജിമെന്റ് .ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഭരണകാലത്ത് 17 -ആം റെജിമെന്റ് എന്നുവിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നതു തന്നെയാണിത്.[1]
