ജോൺ ഗ്രിഗറി ഡൺ (മെയ് 25, 1932 – ഡിസംബർ 30, 2003) ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ നോവലിസ്റ്റ്, തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത്, സാഹിത്യനിരൂപകൻ എന്നീ നിലകളിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായിരുന്നു.[1][2]

ജോൺ ഗ്രിഗറി ഡൺ കണക്റ്റിക്കട്ടിലെ ഹാർട്ട്ഫോർഡിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. എഴുത്തുകാരനായിരുന്ന ഡോമിനിക് ഡണ്ണിൻറെ ഇളയ സഹോദരനായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. 1932 മെയ് 25 ൻ ഡൊറോത്തി ഫ്രാൻസെസിൻറെയും റിച്ചാർഡ് എഡ്വിൻ ഡണ്ണിൻറെയും പുത്രനായി ജനിച്ചു. പോർട്സ്മൌത്ത് പ്രയറി സ്കൂളിൽ പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തുകയും പ്രിൻസ്ടൺ യുണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽനിന്ന് 1954 ൽ ബിരുദമെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[3]
