ങൾട്രം

1974-മുതൽ ഭൂട്ടാന്റെ നാണയമാണ് ങൾട്രം (ISO 4217 code BTN) (Dzongkha: དངུལ་ཀྲམ). ഭൂട്ടാൻ ങൾട്രത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യം ഇന്ത്യൻ രൂപയുടെ മൂല്യത്തിനു തുല്യമാണ്. 100 ഛെട്രും കൂടിയതാണ് ഒരു ങൾട്രം (1979 വരെ ഇവ ചെട്രും അഥവാ നാണയങ്ങൾ എന്നാണറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്).

ചരിത്രം

1974 വരെ ഇന്ത്യൻ രൂപയുടെ തുല്യമൂല്യമുള്ള ഭൂട്ടാനീസ് രൂപയായിരുന്നു ഭൂട്ടാന്റെ നാണയം. ഭൂട്ടാനീസ് രൂപയ്ക്കു പകരമായാണ് ങൾട്രം രൂപീകരിച്ചത്. 1960ൽ ഇന്ത്യ ആയിരുന്നു ഭൂട്ടാൻ സർക്കാരിന്റെ മുഖ്യ സഹായ രാജ്യം. അതിനാൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ രൂപയ്ക്കു തുല്യമായി ങൾട്രത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുപോലെ ങൾട്രം ഇന്ത്യൻ രൂപയുമായി മാത്രമേ സ്വതന്ത്രമായി വിനിമയം ചെയ്യാനാവൂ.
