ജർമൻ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ജേക്കബ് ലുഡ്വിംഗ് കാറൽ ഗ്രിം, വിൽഹെം കാറൽ ഗ്രിം എന്നിവർ ശേഖരിച്ച കഥകളുടെ ശേഖരമാണ് ഗ്രിമ്മിന്റെ കഥകൾ. മാർബർഗ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ വിദ്യാർഥികളായിരുന്ന കാലത്തു നാടോടിക്കഥകൾ ശേഖരിച്ചു ശാസ്ത്രീയമായി വിശകലനം ചെയ്തു പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.[1] 1812 മുതൽ 1822 വരെയുള്ള കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ മൂന്നു വാല്യമുള്ള ഗ്രിംസ് ഫെയറി ടെയിൽസ് പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു. മലയാളത്തിലും ഇത് പരിഭാഷപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
