ഗരിഞ്ച

ബ്രസീലിന്റെ ദേശീയ ഫുട്ബോൾ ടീമിലെ 1955-1973 കാലത്തെ പ്രമുഖ കളിക്കാരിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു ഗരിഞ്ച എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന മാനുവൽ ഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ ദൊസ് സാന്റോസ്.(ജനനം:ഒക്ടോ 28, 1933 – ജനു: 20, 1983) 1958-ലെയും 1962-ലെയും ലോകകിരീടം നേടിയ ബ്രസീലിന്റെ ദേശീയ ടീമിൽ ഗരിഞ്ചയും അംഗമായിരുന്നു.ഗരിഞ്ച എന്ന വാക്കിനർത്ഥം ‘ചെറിയ കുരുവി‘(Wren) എന്നാണ്.തന്റെ കരിയറിന്റെ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും ബ്രസീലിയൻ ക്ലബ്ബായ ബോട്ടഫോഗോയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഗരിഞ്ച കളിച്ചത്. കാലുകൾക്ക് അസാധാരണമായ നീളവ്യത്യാസവും, വളവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ പോലും അതിമനോഹരമായ ഡ്രിംബ്ലിങ്ങ് പാടവം ഗരിഞ്ചയുടെ കൈമുതലായിരുന്നു .
